My husband recently started taking Vitamin B Complex because he suffers from anxiety and had read somewhere that they can help (because of their effect on the nervous system I presume.)

But they seem to have had an unexpected (but VERY welcome!) effect on him. His libido has gone through the roof…It's just like when we first moved in together all over again! lol…

I'm just curious and wondering if anybody knows if it IS the Vit B that's caused him to be like this, I know it increases energy and I suppose that might explain it. But can it be linked directly to a higher sex drive?

Thanks in advance! x

Answer:
Not directly, but it could.
B Vitamins have several benefits including increased energy from B-12, increased circulation from B-3, stress relief (from several of them), and mental stimulation from B-1. It's very possible he was just stressed and that lowered his libido; maybe the extra energy made him feel like he could; maybe the increased circulation increased it to his genitals; maybe the mental stimulation helped him see things in you that aroused him; maybe he was deficient in some of the B Vitamins that was taking away from his libido… it's hard to say for sure exactly why without running tests, but I'm glad for you that it is helping like that ;-)
I know I felt much better and generally “more alive” when I took a B Complex, so it's very likely the same “I feel better in general” effect and an extra boost down there.

My boyfriend swears up and down that his taking B-12 increases his libido. B-12 does help circulation (blood flow to the neccesary ares) , lol) and increases energy… It sounds fairly accurate to assume it helps!

Answer:
I know b-12s can give you energy & perk you up…sounds like something is getting perked up! hehe

so i would say it's def possible.
