I have booked my first appointment for a colonic next week. There are several different opinions on colonics, bad, good - however i want to hear from people that have had it done and have been pleased with the results. How did it make you feel afterwards? and are there actual dangers at all? Please no people saying how its useless, i appreciate your view however i believe they’re somtimes neccesary to do!
Thanks in advance

Answer:
You should do a lot of research before deciding to get a colonic. Many real dangers exist in it but what bothers me is that practicioners gloss over them. The one that people talk about most is the risk of infection and a perforated colon but to me this seems like the least likely of the dangers because therapists use sterilized, disposable equipment. More likely would be an electrolyte imbalance or the washing away of beneficial bacteria in your colon.
I’ve had two colonics but both utilized a gravity-flow system (like an enema but with more water) instead of pressurized water from a machine. I don't believe it was performed correctly by the therapist because the water barely seemed to be going in me before going out the exit tube. So I can't give you good first-hand comments on what it's like.
I'm curious — why do you feel it's something necessary for you to do?
Answer:
They are virtually useless and have none of the benefits claimed. See below.

Answer:
If you've got a good,well balanced diet,don't bother.
It's uncomfy,but I never went for another one,as I didn't see the point.
