For a school project thing we have to do “Teenage Issues.” My group selected drugs, and we each got assigned a drug, I chose “Ecstasy.”
It is going to be informational, NOT persuasive (this ISN'T an view thing, just Information). I would like to include how to take it safely too - as, if they’re going to do it, they might as well be safe about it. I would also like statistics of how many people die a year from taking ecstasy. I would also like risks, cost, look of it, efferct (good and bad) and general infomation.
If anybody has any personal experiences (good or bad) of this drug, that would help a lot too.
Thanks

Ecstasy in the UK will cost about £1 to £5 from per pill.
The magic in ecstasy is MDMA, this is the stuff you want but sites like PILLREPORTS and ECSTASYDATA contain a database of other chems. you can find too like caffeine, dxm.
When it started out in the club scene there were a lot of deaths and after a while it was discovered that dehydration was the cause …. providing the user is not sensitive to MDMA or has a bad reaction (remember some people are caffiene sensitive or can't drink much alcohol) and the MDMA is clean you should be fine.
A lot of bad/fake pills exist. I have read reports on people feeling really ill and messed up after using it or people who have urinated blood the next day but this isn't because of MDMA.
MDMA is one of the safest drugs too use, it's safer than marijuana (smoked)
MDMA belongs to the empathogen family.
New users should break and consume half a pill and wait 60-90 minutes before using more.
So the risks are mainly dehydration and hyperthermia but with MDMA being a street drug it might not be clean MDMA.
A lot of other drugs have tried to take over MDMA but MDMA has always been impossible to replace. 2C-B is one. GHB also was legal sometime back (<2003) in the UK and known as liqud ecstasy. Ketamine in the UK has risen since it become illegal too. Also currently piperzines are trying to take over (BZP/TFMPP) but the thing with legal piperzines is that they are 'research chemicals' so unlike MDMA which is superior documented they aren't and that MAY pose a future risk, piperzines are suppose to be getting classified soon, I hear.
MDMA tends to last about 3-4 hours.

I know that the pharmaceutical name of Ecstasy is MDMA. In its pure form this drug has minimal risks and is actually prescribed by psychologists in some circumstances. The street drug Ecstasy is usually laced with various other drugs, acid, heroine, cocaine, could really be anything. This is why each type of Ecstasy has a different name. I know of stop signs, blue dolphins and yellow alligators though I don't remember the difference between them. The mixing of drugs is what typically makes Ecstasy so perilous,
The only dangers of MDMA by itself are the risk of depleting your serotonin levels. There was a song written about this several years back but I don't remember the name of it. Basically you feel very depressed for a couple of days after taking the drug because you used a surge of serotonin and now your body is having to replenish that reserve.
Also from personal experience, it isn’t true that Ecstasy always makes you happy. All it does is heighten everything you are feeling. I myself have actually gone into a rage from it before, it is not a pretty sight.
