Does anyone know of something I can drink instead of cranberry juice;I'm not granted to have it, because I take WARFARIN, & THE TWO DON'T MIX.

Answer:
Cranberry juice has tiny or no effect on active urine infections anyway, though it has a marginal protective effect if taken daily by women with recurrent infections.

UTI is one of the few conditions where it is still felt that antibiotics are pretty much always needed and you should contact your doctor to arrange this. In the meantime take plenty of ANY clear fluids.

Unfortunately antibiotics also affect INR which needs to be monitored more frequently until a few days after treatment finishes.

Hey hon… yuck! been there… cranberry juice doesn't work for me either, i love the stuff but it just isn't good enough as a fixer for that particular problem! the ideal thing i have ever taken is uva ursi, it's a herbal remedy that you can buy from a health food shop or some pharmacies. it's also called bear berry cos bears love it. it's brilliant and really effective. also try taking some baking soda which will make your wee more alkaline and help stop that awful burning. i looked up uva ursi and it states the only time you should watch it is if you're taking anti-inflammatories or steroids. but i've attached the link in case you want to look it up yourself. it's fab stuff and you'll be sorted in a couple of days hon. good luck!!!

Answer:
If you have a bladder infection rather than simply anguish, take care. If it doesn't clear you’ll need antibiotics to prevent the danger of spread and damage to the kidneys.

Answer:
Lots and lots of water and try some Yogurt, I know yogurt is for other things but I have gotten relief using it. Hope you feel better.

Can you take the cranberry pills?

Answer:
Robinsons barley water. Used for years before anyone had heard of cranberry. It's very soothing through the urinary tract.

Answer:
Use yogurt. It sounds gross but it works!!!

Answer:
I don't think you can beat water….not cold…but at room temp. or even a bit warm…and LOT'S of it.
