I'm thinking about being hypnotised to halt biting my nails, have you, or do you know anyone that has been hypnotised?
Recommendations would be great, ta!
Answer:
Hypnosis is a form of therapy. It isn’t a miracle cure that so many people have misconceptions about. It is a way to tap into your subconscious mind. NLP stands for neuro linguistic programming and is also another form of suggestion that can be therapeutic.
A habit that you've developed for years and years is going to take time, effort and committment to replace with another habit. The best way to break a bad habit is the replace it with a good one. In order to become more aware of when you bite your nails, you can wrap them in tape or band aids, which will help you to recognize when you bite your nails. Then when you begin to bite at the tape, you can breathe deep or stretch out or do some other good habit.

Answer:
Yes I have. I hate the noise around my home. Gun club, leaf blowers, hammering, sawing, ATV's. It is very constant.. So I went to a hypnotist. It really worked and it has been a few years. I think it is important to get someone you feel comfortable with. Ask them questions on the phone to see if you’re compatible. I also did a very big group of people for smoking cessation and that did not work.
