Do you want to be an Orthopedic specialist or do you want to make the metal parts the specialists use?
These arte very different occupations and require a completely different skill set.

Sounds like you may be talking more about prosthetics. Your question is otherwise far too broad to allow a sensible answer I am afraid. What is you actually want to know.
Orthopaedics is a sub-specialty of surgery. You need to qualify in medicine then specialise and take further degrees.
