my girl has diarrhea with no other symptons, is there any medicine she can have
Answer:
The general advice PARTICULARLY for children is never use anti diarrhoeal preparations.
Management is confined to maintenance and support. This means no solids, no dairy products and only clear fluids for 24 to 48 hours; ideally this should be electrolyte replacement fluid such as Diorolyte.
The dangers are basically dehydration and electrolyte disturbance, if she becomes unwell you must seek medical advice.
Answer:
depending where in the world you are..
you can get a medicine that to put it nicely will thicken her poo to make it less uncomfortable, diarrhea is usually only a 24hr thing if its a bug or see if she's been eating anything different to her usual foods.
Hope this helps a tad and she gets better!
Answer:
If shes generally okay its best if her body gets rid of the poop, I wouldn't advocate anyone taking stuff to slow it down. Make sure she drinks lots of water and eats normally, but of course if she gets worse or other symptoms get her seen by a doctor
Answer:
This is a common thing for children have. Give her pedialyte every couple of hours so she won't get dehydrated. Gatorade can also be used as substitution for pedialyte. It costs a lot less.
