When you get teeth veneers, do the dentists have to file down your normal teeth to quite a small size or no?
Loads of celebs have them, and I can't envision all of their normal teeth are tiny stumps?
Answer:
yeah they file down the amount which is appropriate for the veneer to fit and not look odd. celebs don't need to worry 'cos they have the ability to get the ideal, if there's break off in a yr they have the ability to getthem fixed in a day i bet. if i had enough money i'd have veneers but it's never gonna happen. they're £300 each tooth at my dentist but they're crap. if you want good veneers pat £800 each at least i'd say.
Answer:
From what I have heard, the teeth are filed down on the front, not length-wise. I think it is just the enamel that is filed down but not down to the dentin (because wouldn't that make it vulnerable to caries?) and the veneers are permanent and are a prettier version of enamel… personally since enamel is the strongest bone in the body… I don't think it should be messed with unless absolutely necessary.
Answer:
They file your teeth some…depending on type of veneers used. Lumineers is the newest craze that use limited removal of tooth structure - but if they didnt remove some tooth…they'd be so thick they'd look like chicklets and not natural…lumineers.com
Answer:
They’re indeed filed down, but not into tiny stumps. They end up being slightly smaller with a small space in between each tooth.
