Have you ever crack your tooth when eating mash potatoes, or any thing else with a fork..ouch
Answer:
Very common The tooth may have previously had a hairline crack in it and you just bit down right on it to cause the chip. Might want to have it looked at to see how bad the fracture is and what can be done to fix it.
Answer:
One of my tooth was chipped and I had a dentist fix it. One day, I was flossing and my floss got caught on the dental work. When I pulled the floss out, I also pulled the dental work right off. It hurt like hell. Luckily, the tooth didn't give. My tooth was sore for days. I had to have the original chipped tooth fixed the same weekend. The reason is you don't want the inside of your teeth exposed to the outside world. It might get infected and you could possibly lose the entire tooth.

Chipped a tiny chunk outta my tooth with a roast potato last week. Its odd though, the roasties weren't even hard… Oh well, mysteries of the universe and all that……
