I’ve a little bit of extra cash at the moment and would like to spend the money on something worthwhile. I have awful front teeth - the front two have had root canal treatment done on them in the past and the teeth are that thin you can see whats been done! id also like to get the two teeth next to them done if possible.

The treatment id like done is pegs - im not sure if that is the technical term - but they basically file down your teeth and glue new teeth in.

id like to know how much this can cost and how painful it could be.

any help would be very much appreciated!!! :oD

Answer:
Porcelain crowns would be put over the teeth you wanted this done to. Yes the teeth are ground down to look like pegs. The teeth that have had root canals have had the nerves taken out of them so to drill on these there would be no anguish. If you’re having any other teeth done you would need to have them numbed up with a local anesthetic. While the permanent porcelain teeth are being made you would have temporary crowns put on your teeth. When the permanent crown are ready, the temps are removed and the permanent crowns cemented in.
I know you’ll be very happy to have this done and in my 40 years of doing a lot of cosmetic dentistry, I’ve seen many peoples lives change when they replaced unsightly teeth with a “million dollar smile” Ideal of luck to you and get some good references on dentists that are really good in this area of expertise.

Answer:
First of all darling, it costs like £40+ just to get a white filling.
so you'd need AT LEAST £200+ for what you'd want doing.
I'd love to do that too, my front two teeth are really huge and square, but i simpily don't have the money to waste when i have a family to feed.
The pain would be unbearable too, but if your serious abou it, go to your dentist and consult your idea's with him.

Girl asking about something, nothing to do with mens health.

Why?

Answer:
Go to India and have it done. There are some very good dentists out there.I recently had 6 huge fillings and 9 mercury fillings replaced by white all for £180.The dentist actually done a superior job than the UK private dentists and found why I was in pain(because of their bad works). It's cheaper for me to fly to India and back just to get one crown, best quality than have it done in the UK.There are people out there who also have what you want done. One woman had all her teeth filed down and fixed in Mumbui and what a great set of teeth she has.The UK dentists even the private ones just charge a bomb and do a shabby job in my experience.Save yourself money and get a good job done at the same time and ooo…and not 4getting a small holiday!

By the way it's veneers you need doing, this is the technical name. These cost thousands in the UK!!!Your first answer is wrong,it costs a lot more.

Answer:
Thats called a crown. They take off some of your teeth so that a cap will fit over it and look nicer.

It's kinda high-priced, depending on where you go. Go to a dental school, and you can get it done cheaper, and the students are supervised by a full fledged DDS, so no worries. I'm getting an implant with a crown (similar to the tooth peg, except they are putting a metal rod in my gum because I’ve no tooth root to hold it there) and the crown will cost like 8-12 hundred. So hopefully you’ve come into more than what you dug out of the sofa cushions :)

I don't think crowns are supposed to hurt really at all. The worst bit would be the fitting, when they push the thing over your ground down tooth, or actually grinding down the tooth. It shoudn't be bad, though.

Good luck!
