I’m 28 yrs old, I’ll 29 yrs old in Dec and I am a single female. I have been seeing a dentist about getting a brace as I’ve one quite squint front tooth. Only thing is this process is going to take two yrs and I will be almost 31. I am really nervous about this, its train tracks I’m getting so I will have to live with them for the next two yrs or live with my teeth for the rest of my life. I dont know if I have the ability to go through with it for the next two yrs. Can any one give me there thoughts or even experiences if you’ve any???Please no nasty comments though as it is rather upsetting. Thanks

Answer:
Well, I would rather have the braces than the awful teeth, besides, lots of people wear them, so I doubt anyone will judge you for them.

It's just a brace, get over it, it's not like people are going to hunt you down in the cities for sorting out a dental problem.

Answer:
you can get clear braces if you’re self conscious about getting them

i have had them and they were fairly comfortable and not embarrassing, however, i was 13.

but if you’re not happy with the way your teeth look at the moment i advocate getting them as being self conscious about your teeth stops you from smiling as much.

2 years out of your life is not much when you think how much superior you will feel after you have had them removed.

Answer:
I think it all depends on how you feel about your smile. Personally I hated mine, and I got my braces off about one month ago. My teeth are immaculate and I am very pleased with the results. Having didn't affect me much at all, even if it hurt when I first got them. I just got used to seeing a metal smile, lol. Anyway, you don't have to look at your own smile! My mum had a friend who had braces when she was about your age. And she was very happy with the results too.

My opinion is that if you want perfect teeth you should go for it! x

Answer:
if you can afford them…go for it!

my uncle is nearly 38 and he's having them fitted - even though he's opted for the 6 month braces…but he couldn't afford them when he was your age or younger….so I'm guessing he'd state to you, do it.

Best of luck to you.

Answer:
have you considered using invisible braces or ceramic brackets?? they are less visible but will do the same job and straighten your teeth.

Answer:
what is 2 years against the rest of your life

get them
