what Qualifications are there?
what skills do they use?
what science they use?

Answer:
You mean in the Dental office?

Well, you can become a DDS/DMD (same degree with a different name) and run your practice the way you would like to, but that does take A LOT of work and patience and determination. You’ve to go to dental school and get certified.

Or if you are interested in a specific type of dentistry, you could go on after school and become certified in a specialty IE Perio, Endo, Prostho, Oral Public Health etc. This takes even more work after becoming a general DDS.

It helps to be good at Chem and BioChem, as well as be pretty good with your hands. Having “hand skills” like painting, music, or sculpting can help your application.

A dental hygenist usually works in a dentists office to clean teeth and note conditions for the DDS. You have a tiny more autonomy here than being a dental assistant, and do the things that they do, too.

A dental assistant is like a step down from a dental hygenist, in that you can't really practice alone at all. This is probably the person who calls you out of the foyer and brings you back to numb you before the DDS comes to shoot you up. You would also take impressions, films, and notes for your DDS.

You can also work in a lab, but usually that is not actually at the dental office itself. Lab technicians need to know about materials and be really good with using their hands to use machines, hand make some things, and be confident with protocol.

Good Luck!
