I had my 2 bottom wisdom teeth extracted under GA just over a week ago, and although i am recovering now. i have been left with nerve damage that is affecting my lower lip and chin. and also the left side of my tongue the sensations im feeling due to the damage are pretty awful at the minute! pain, numbness, tingling and a burning sensation. plus other feelings. I did at first think this was the nerve recovering but have since learnt these are the symptoms of nerve damage. I knew this was a risk of the surgery and that it is probably temporary and i have to give it time. But just wondered if anyone had a similar experience and could share it and offer some hope that this will get better!!

Thanks

Answer:
hi, i'm a dental student and my roommate has the same experience with you.. yeah, i guess it's a nerve problem, what you can do to speed up the recovery is to take VITAMIN B COMPLEX..
my friend recovered in around 4 months but actually the recovery is different from person to person, maybe it could be faster with you.. good luck :)
