Answer:
Ask if you can make one or two of the dishes (so they don't feel offended and it seems like you're joining in!)
Then you can eat 80-90% of your own food and just eat a bit of theirs to be polite if need be
i know this from doing this with my mom lol.
Answer:
Eat it. Just go simple on it. One day won't harm you. Calorie counting is bad to start with. As long as it's not loaded with refined carbs and saturated fats, the high amounts of calories won't be harmful. Remember the differences between complex vs easy carbs and healthy/unsaturated vs unhealthy/saturated fats!
Answer:
so it's just one day when you're gonna have to eat stuff you don't normally eat. You don't have to eat the meat, just have the veggie version of the meal.
Actually you sound really selfish and are looking upon this family gathering as a disruption to your militant eating style (i.e. eating what you want when you want it)
I pity your family for having to put up with a selfish person like you. It's just one day with your family, why not try thinking about them instead of just yourself
Answer:
** just enjoy the foods in moderation! **
if you eat healthy every other day, then this one special holiday won't cause you to gain weight. it takes 3500 calories to gain one pound! so you'd have to eat like 5000 calories to gain a pound in one day.
i would advise you to relax and enjoy the holiday, then go back to your normal diet monday (:
hope this helped and good luck !
Answer:
make enough for others and call it your contribution to the meal

Answer:
You’re the uptight one. I'm sure your family is used to you by now, so just take along a vegi main dish, eat it, and get on with the social aspect of the day.
If you take along something healthy and eat a reasonable portion of it they won't have a need to question whether you’re eating properly.
Try to have a nice time!
If you don't feel that you can overcome this eating disorder on your own, then seek help. Personally, I was in counselling for over three years to help me overcome my problems.
I think your quality of life would be much higher if you didn't have to worry about each little thing you put into your body. Its up to you to stop nurturing this anxiety.
Take care x
