I had great self-control, but somehow it disappeared. So my question: Can anyone give me some good tips to have more control with food, like eating the amount i want to eat and not anymore, or just any tips and tricks in general?
Thanks for the help
Answer:
1. I stopped using a plate to eat off of, I began using a saucer as my regular plate. There is less room for me to fill up with food; hence, I'll consume less.
2. Never, ever, ever have a second serving.
3. Never eat three things or more per meal - only two things and one of them has to be either a vegetable or a fuit. If its a holiday you can have two vegetables / fruits… but not on a regular basis.
4. Work Tofu into your diet, work Beans into your diet too. These are excellent souces of Protein - you don't have to consume a meat product to get protein.
5. I try to avoid Beef as much as I have the ability to. I eat Poultry, Pork, and Fish. I never fry any food, but I do broil, grill, bake, and boil.
6. Measure all food and eat an appropriate portion size.
7. If it ain't healthy then don't bring it in the house. If it is not in the home then you can't go out in the kitchen and eat it.
Answer:
give yourself a reason for being in control… why do you wish to have more self control? what is your objective? what’s it you’re trying to achieve? if you’ve no goal then trying to be in self control just so you can you are in control will be a very difficult (and unclear) task. give yourself some reasons and you'll find a genuine desire to regain that self control.
good luck.
Answer:
I'm not implying anything but it might be worth looking at “Pro-Anorexic” themed websites for tips with Control around food.
