i am 14 and i way 144 pounds. i no i am over weight :( but i would really like to lose it FAST! is starving the best way?

i am aware of all the eating disorders but i would begin eating again once im happy..

im a size 12/14 in uk sizes and would like to be a size 10.

the only thing is, i don't like much healthy stuff like vegetables and salad.

i would like to lose this in like a month.

It is very dangerous, and doesn't get you to lose weight quickly.

I would recommend that you stick to a diet plan made up of healthy choices.

Even if you don't like much healthy stuff, it's worth it in the end.

Also, drink a lot of water, and I mean A LOT! It will boost up your metabolism rates to help your body burn calories faster.

Eat a good, healthy-sized breakfast, it is the most important meal in the day. Your metabolism is the most fast during the first hour or two you're awake for.

Never eat after 7, that's the mistake almost everyone makes.

Regulating your food intake is the best way to lose weight. And, I know you mentioned you don't like healthy type foods, but you can train your body to crave them, just like the body craves any food it is regularly accustomed to.

Drink more water. Get into a regular exercise routine. Eat healthier foods, lower the amount of food you put into your body in one sitting (eat slower), and eat small snacks between meals.

[edit]: I thought of something else. Stay clear of any fad diet that promises you will lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time. These diets are very dangerous. There is no alternative for a lifestyle of eating right and consistent exercise.

I'm 14 also, and I suffer with anorexia.Since i struggle with an eating disorder, when i fast (starve) i loose weight because I can't just 'stop' when i want to, its stuck with me, so i continue to starve myself hence, i continue to loose weight. as soon as i eat normally for aday or whatever, i gain weight though. This WILL happen to you, because you either wont stop once your happy, or you’ll but you will gain back all the weight you just lost. I highly advocate just dieting and exercise, eat lots of veggies, lay off munchies,candy,sugary things and anything with trans fats/saturated fats. exercise atleast 30 minutes a day, and you will loose 10 lbs in less than a month :)
eat 1200-1500 calories a day.
REMEMBER: you don't have to cut out all sweets! there's sugar free jello, sugar free pudding, etc. that have less calories than the regular stuff has!

I'm afraid you're going to have to get used to eating much more healthier foods, and they're not all as boring as salad! See if your parents can make the food a bit more exciting? Like instead of just cooking veg. normally, why not try Mediterranean style, they taste breathtaking!
But basically, i'd state if you want to lose weight effectively, keep having 3 meals per day, but small meals, much smaller than your used to. It'll probably be hard at first but after a while your stomach will get used to it and it'll become normal for you, then you can keep it up and keep the weight off.
Maybe an small increase in the activity you do as well? doesn't have to be anything major (unless there's a sport or anything you've always wanted to try), just try walking more, faster paced walking, that kind of thing.

Starving yourself would be a really silly and perilous thing to do. In extreme cases, you'll get so trapped in the cycle of not eating and the thrill of losinmg weight you might develop an eating disorder. It's certainly something you wouldn't want to keep up for a month. You're young and you're at school still. Starving yourself would only have a negative impact on your education and performance at school. It's not worth it. Go and see your gp and he may be able to write a diet plan for you. It's just about eating healthily and exercising each week. Remember to eat your 5 a day. The trick is just to eat balanced, healthy meals. Slicing out junk food would be a good start and the weight will just drop off. That way you're eating still and not starving your body, but losing weight at the same time. good luck

you'd get sucked into the whole “oh just one more pound” and you won't have a normal eating life again.
aand when you do, you'll put the weight back on, then starve yourself again and you’ll starve yourself into an ED.
eat between 1,200-1,400 calories a day and exercise for 30mins-60mins a day
