Is this a healthy diet?

Author: admin

I'm trying to put on about 10lbs because I'm slightly underweight. This is roughly what I eat, but it obviously varies here and there everyday.
Snack 6:30am - Handful of almonds [350 cals]
Breakfast 9:00am - Porridge with whole milk and dried fruits [250 cals]
Lunch 1:30pm - Sandwich [450 cals]
Snack 4:00pm - Glass of whole milk [150 cals]
Snack 5:00pm - Veg salad [100 cals]
Dinner 6:00pm - Lentil soup/curry, with 2 chapatis and low fat yoghurt [700 cals]
Snack 7:30pm - Fruit salad [250 cals]
Snack 9:00pm - Whole Milk [150 cals]
That's about 2400 calories. Usually I eat 2000 calories, but I've upped it so I can gradually put on weight. Is this healthy? I've added milk and almonds to increase my body fat because its quite low. I drink plenty of water also and I'm not doing any cardio exercise either.

Thanks in advance and 10 points for the ideal answer!.

Answer:
I would lose the whole milk unless it is organic and cream top. Milk has tons of pesticides and antibiotics/ hormones if its not organic and really toxic to your body if it is homogenized. The best is raw milk but it is extremely costly so I would go for either organic cream top, or lowfat/nonfat milk

The sandwich needs to be whole grain- no refined flour, dough conditioners or high fructose corn syrup in the ingredients. If theres meat in it make sure there is no nitrites or nitrates and that is free range/organic/grass fed meat preferably.

To increase your body fat eat healthy fats like nuts (which you are doing and that’s good) avocados, and cold pressed oils like extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil. Eat a lot pf peanut butter but make sure it is natural peanut butter meaning the ingredients state only: peanuts, (salt).

Buy a protein powder like whey but make sure it doesn't have artificial ingredients and a long list of garbage stuff. Just plain whey or vanilla whey (sweetened with stevia or xylitol preferably, or maybe fructose) can bulk you up, just put it with milk and bananas and blend it up.

Answer:
You would do better to include carbohydrates in your diet. Potatoes, bread, rice, and pasta.

Are you vegetarian? If not, you need to be eating protein too. Fish, meat, poultry, eggs and cheese.

Answer:
that seems a gd healthy day. I done the same to put weight on so i could do weight training and build muscle up.

Answer:
stop with so much milk.

Answer:
that’s a good diet, full of protein and veg…so yes i would say its pretty good

Answer:
Okay, let me list unhealthy or not very good foods from your question:

- chicken, make sure it is w/o skin. breast of chicken w/o skin is healthy;

- steak? is it beef? if it is beef it is not a very good source of protein. red meat contained bad cholesterol and homocystein that harm your health;

- potatoes is high glycemic that easily turn to be sugar in our blood;

- sausage usually contained bad cholesterol and other bad fat;

- cheese, use low fat soft cheese.
