How many to do a day? I've been doing about 100.

Answer:
you can certainly get muscle, but you won't get mass beyond a certain point without adding weight (girlfriend on your back lol), reason being that your muscles will only grow to the size they need to be to do the work they're being asked to do. once you're in the 100s of press-ups a day area, you're asking them to prioritise stamina/endurance so increasing reps probably won't result in size increases.

Answer:
As mentioned above, once you can do 100 press ups then the stimulus your muscles get from it won't make them adapt (grow) further unless you increase the intensity somehow (GF on back etc!).

Another way is to do you pressups holding a ball (medicine ball is good) keeping elbows out. This puts the pecs (main muscles involved) at a mechanical disadvantage and makes them work harder.

For size and strength training, I would recommend 3 or 4 sets or up 10-15 reps (going to near failure each set).

You can get muscle from press ups…. You should read about Hershel Walker. A famous college and pro football player. He built an astounding physic with only push ups and sit ups. He did thousands a day. Keep in mind that he is a genetically better athlete.

Work hard, eat well and sleep plenty and you should get plenty of muscle. Don't forget to add variety to your workouts to keep the muscles coming.

Answer:
Absolutely you can. However you can only build so much with one exercise. Your body will become used to that one exercise. Try varying this around.

How many is up to you, the more often you do them the more you’ll be able to do. A good general rule when training is to go to failure…meaning until you can't possibly do any more. And build up this way.

Pressups actually work your chest muscles…so concentrate on tightening these with each upwards movement. The arms are also strengthened but aren't the core muscle group being used.

Good luck…cheers

Answer:
make sure to consume protein after your workout - this will help you build muscle more efficiently. try a shake that's high in protein but low in carbohydrates. you should be able to go to any nutrition store and the clerk will be able to help you find one to fit your needs.

Answer:
Yes you can get muscle from doing press ups, as long as you’re performing a physical activity that requires you to vigorously move your body for an extended period of time. The number you are doing sounds fine to me.

Answer:
Yeah, you get bare tonk through press ups, just keep doing them 100 should be plenty. You'll be muscle bound soon enough.

But do other excercises as well otherwise you'll just have big arms, and look strange and disproportioned
