I would like to lose about 1lb a week, but without making massive changes. What small changes could I make to lose a pound a week. Or what things could I start doing? I am about 5'9″ and weigh about 170lbs (so bmi is about 26). I want to take it slowly and do it healthily. Thanks!

Answer:
Since you don't need to loose much weight anyway, this will be perfect for you.

Instead of having 4 slices of pizza, just take one less.

Try giving up just one snack a day that isn't healthy, for something like an apple, or small salad.

Park farther away when you go shopping.

If you usually drive over to a friends home that is only a couple blocks away, just walk over (only if you’re in a pretty safe neighborhood)

At the mall, take the stairs

Drink water and don't drink anymore soda, regular or diet.

You will be shocked.

Answer:
I don't know if I lost a pound a week but I lost weight without even trying. I stopped drinking pop and drink only water, and I became more active. Walking to shut places, taking a bike ride every night. Anyway I lost 17 pounds in 4 months.

Answer:
Ideal way to lose weight gradually is with a green tea diet. Drink or take green tea tablets during the day and your metabolism will increase dramatically.

So small change could be to drink green tea in the mornings for breakfast and see how that goes.

Answer:
to be safe i think you should visit your physician, so he has the ability to advise you on what foods to eat more of, what to cut out, how much to exersise..

Or join a weight watchers or an on the internet forum somewhere..

I wish you all the luck.. and thank you for been sensible about it, at least there are good people out there for us teens to look up to! =]

Answer:
You could simply cut out nearly all fat.

That means NO:

chips

fried foods

junk food

cakes, biscuits, puddings

butter (have low-fat spread)

full-fat milk or cheese

curries, any food in rich sauce

Answer:
Easy & sensible……..Just eat smaller portions.

Don't drink alcohol, drink less.

No fizzy drinks, or Fast foods.

(That may be one & a half pounds)

Answer:
That is a good rate, which can be continued indefinitely, and any combination of increased exercise and decreased food totaling 500 calories per day will do the trick.

Answer:
Play the lottery and you

will lose a pound a week.
