Ive recently lost 4 stone, I know that when dieting fat is used as energy, but where does the physical matter go?
Answer:
the fat is actually fuel and it gets burned up or metabolized as a part of burning calories. there is acutually a molecular exchange of fat tissue where the chemical composition is broken down and it used for movement. unfortunately the fat cells dont go anywhere so once they are created they are there forever. which is what makes dieting such a frustrating experience those darn fat cells are always there waiting to be filled up you can however build muscle which burns more fat. so exercise is the key to long term success
Answer:
lipids from fat cells are transported across the cell membrane of the muscle cell where they get converted to ATP. muscles use ATP to fuel all muscular contractions, and the energy is given off as heat.
fats are stored energy. one of the basic laws of physics is the law of energy conservation that states that energy can neither be created or destroyed it can only change forms. lipids from fat cells get converted to the cellular energy source ATP which then get converted to heat energy…
Answer:
When you consume fewer calories than your body needs, your body turns to fat for energy. Body fat is broken down through a series of complex metabolic processes. Your body uses the energy produced by these processes. The waste products from these processes are water and carbon dioxide. You excrete water primarily through urine and sweat, and carbon dioxide by exhaling.

Answer:
got burned. When you burn fat, it turned into amino acids (protein) and water. Water went down the toilet (did you notice that when you don’t eat for a long time you go to the toilet more frequently) and to sweat, amino acids were used by your body to build new muscle tissue and for energy.
Answer:
weldone one the weight loss =]
but the fat is digested to get the energy etc.
your body digests itself if you don't eat enough so thats why when people over exercise and not eat enough bones and bits stick out because the body digests fat then muscle [[including the heart]]] hmm n ot a nice thought really
hope this helped =]
Answer:
Fats are broken down in the body to release glycerol and free fatty acids. The glycerol can be converted to glucose by the liver and thus used as a source of energy.
The waste, goes down the loo.
Answer:
if you have lost weight and have been exercising, it will now be muscle which makes you appear smaller and shaplier.
otherwise, your digestive system will have kicked back into action and the fat will be waste.
congrats on the weight loss.
Answer:
it is used up by the muscles and brain (yes)
fat is always energy - diet or not
through the chemical processes it is converted into 'fuel' for the body
when you dont add new fat and you burn off more you lose it
well done
Answer:
