Just for people that don't know what I'm speaking about, it's a very painful condition that effects the chest area and can radiate to other parts of the body. It feels like you’re getting a heart attack. It can be very scary as the people that suffer with it know only too well. I was diagnosed with it 2 years ago. When I get it I get it bad, It effects your breathing, It feels like you’re been stabbed with a knife below your collar bone, Each bit of your body aches. In the morning when you get out of bed you feel like a 80 year old. Really stiff, and coughing for half an hour. Pain down your left arm and sometimes it goes numb. I could go on and on but only the people that suffer with it will understand. ARE YOU ONE OF THESE PEOPLE? Tell me your story. I’ve found a web site that you can discuss Costo/Fibro.

If you do suffer with this don't anticipate others to comprehend. It's something that you learn to live with. It can get you down but just remember you are not on your own.

Answer:
Yes I suffer from fibromyalgia . I don't get the pain in my chest but down my back starting from the base of my neck down my arms and my legs . I have suffered with it for almost 9 years now and I’ve good days and I’ve really bad days. There’s not a day that goes by that I am not in pain and I suffer fatigue but also insomnia which doesn't help at all . It was brought on after I had cancer and this is what I am left with . I try not to let it get me down as I’m raising 3 kids on my own, and try to carry on as normal as I possibly can. I have trouble getting out of bed and when it really flares up I’ve trouble walking, and have to use sticks to get about. I don't like having to take painkillers and have tried always to beat the pain , from herbal remedies to meditation. The meditation helps as then I have the ability to relax and if I get stressed I just hit out at a punchbag and that helps also.

I know what you mean about people not understanding as fibromyalgia isn't that well known. And it is something you just learn to live with .

Answer:
No I do not suffer with it but I commend you for bringing this condition to the attention of others. The symptoms can be similar to those indicative of a more serious condition and in view of this it is a good thing you brought this to the attention of others.
