I get very stiff in most of my joints and definatley have hypermobility syndrome but i have noticed that some of my syptoms could be linked to Fibromyalgia
I dont sleep very well, i get headaches daily, i feel absolutly exhausted everyday even as soon as i wake up, i get very bad pms pains every month, i have a hormone imbalance too, get spurts of memory loss as well.
i have an appointment with a rhumatolagist in april but just wondered if anyone who has it has the same syptoms as me. just to help me prepare for what they may say.

Unfortunatly, Fibro is a "rule out" diagnosis. You will more than likely go through many many tests until you have your answer. I can tell you from personal experience that YES you do have Fibro, but I am no doc and I would allow them to do all the tests that they want to just to make sure that there is noting else going on. I have lived with Fibro for 6 years now and it is not fun and sadly it just gets worse!
Hope this helps some

Answer:
my dad has fibromyalgia, and he is always sore, especially in his feet. to be diagnosed with this, he had to go through many tests and other things had to be ruled out. no one can really say exactly what you have just from your symptoms, because many other problems can have similar ones. it is definitely a possibility you have it, but you should rally go tot he doctor to be sure.
hope i helped =]
Answer:
my mum suffers from fibromyalgia and has done for the last ten years. it sounds kinda similar but not as extreme. my mum is on extremely high dosage of pain killers just to be able to get up in the morning. she cant walk with out a stick and has to resort to a motorised scooter to leave the house. I did complete a essay on the subject for my university course with treatments causes and symptoms if you would like me to email it to you i would be more than happy. have you thought about M.E as it also has similar symptoms.
Answer:
It certainly sounds as though you have symptoms that are similar to mine. In the past I've had terrible problems with exhaustion during the day and poor sleep. I'm constantly changing and/or updating the supplements or medications I'm taking to improve my sleep. I've also had extreme pms symptoms. Those are improving with some different treatment as well. And, the memory and general ability to focus has been bad, too. It's entirely possible based on the symptoms listed that you have FMS. I'm including a link to the Fibromyalgia network's list of symptoms. Maybe it will give you some more things to think about before your appointment.
