antibiotic has been prescribed by the doctor (fever) for 5 days.I had taken it only once. Will it be any problem??

please tell me in detail

Thank you…………

Answer:
WOW, without a significant diagnosis, this particular antibiotic far exceeds the sledgehammer to crack a walnut and moves in to the atom bomb to crack a walnut class!

It is estimated that 85% of all antibiotics, prescribed for all reasons are unnecessary and well known that the majority of feverish illnesses are viral and self limiting.

You may notice that I have not answered your question, just given you some statistics, this is because it cannot be answered safely in this forum as it would be dangerous to do so. This is a very potent broad spectrum antibiotic that should really be reserved for serious infection, it's use routinely for trivial ferverish illness both encourages antibiotic resistance and the growth and spread of resistant organisms like MRSA. However no one here has examined your, nor do they have, with your lack of history, any idea what is actually wrong with you, so I cannot tell you to stop taking it.

Answer:
you should take the course in full as prescribed by the doctor.

Answer:
This one will be no good only if you take all.

Answer:
Antibiotics are provided in a dose total that is divided up over days so that emerging antibodies can be attacked as they appear. Antibodies are a living mechanism that like humans, breed. And will continue to as long as they have the right environment. You may have killed off a few grandma's, but the grandchildren are alive, well, strong and growing.

Taking one dose won't do a thing to stop the continuation of the infectious process they are designed to attack.

You've wasted your time and money by not taking the full course.

Answer:
no doctors say you have to take the full prescription. even if you feel better after 1 dose, the infection is still inside of you and will end up coming back out and you'll feel sick again unless you take the antibiotic for the next 5 days to kill it all off.

Answer:
If you do not continue the treatment, depending on the bacteria that is being attacked, it might reproduce and adapt to the medicine.

If you let that happen, then you might need to be administered heavier antibiotics. At some point, depending once again on the pathogen, you might actually require an IV to administer the medication.

So, take your pills it aint that complicated :)

Get well!

Answer:
You will not feel better, you may get sicker. You are contributing to the reason we have MRSA and VRE! Take the prescribed course of medicine!

Answer:
You need to take the entire course if you are prescribed antibiotics it could become serious start taking them again the way you were told to.

(if you are on the contraceptive pill remember antibiotics will interfere with it working)
