I think a member of my family might have Chickenpox a few children at his nursery had it a few weeks ago He has a high Temperature flu like symptoms and has a few spots between his legs have been treating the child with infant paracetamol for the Temperature.
Does this sound like Chickenpox I can't remember the symptoms cause I was very young when I had it myself .
I will be contacting a GP with he doesnt improve
Answer:
I'd contact nhs direct if your not sure, sounds care about it tho - especially considering others at his nursery had it as it is contagious

hi, i just posted a question to do with chicken pox too, my 2 children 5 and 3 have them at the moment,
my son was very sick the week before hand the doc even thought he’d scarlet fever, then a few days after he had these light red dots on his neck and chin, within a few hrs they’d fully developed in to chicken pox, the chicken pox have water like Fluid in them and the top of the spot can look a bit yellowy.
i read at nhsdirect that it can take up to 10 -21 days for the spots to appear.
then once there out they last from 5 -10 days.
hope this helps.

This mentions flu-like symptoms, like you have mentioned. Although I don't remember having any symptoms other than spots.
Answer:
It sounds like chicken pox doesnt it? I know some get it worse than otheres.. Once the spots come its really not so bad just really ichy..You can get a anti histamine from the chemist… same as if you were stung, takes the iching away..Good luck superior to get it and be done with it.
Answer:
the answer is yes , as you get older it is classed as shingles
and that is worse than chicken pox, only the elderly are apt to getting it.
Answer:
if you turn into a giant chicken, youve got it
