Most of the JAPANESE DO, so just wondering how others are. Please tell me where your from if possible.
Also when you go to a swimsuit shop in Japan, you’ll find underwear just for swimsuit.
And both my sister and my girlfriend DO wear underwear under their swimsuit. Is it just only Japanese that does this kind of stuff ?

Japanese girls don't wear underwear underneath. They wear swimshorts. These are like small knickers that came in skin colour and are designed to prevent pubic hair from escaping out the side of the swimmingsuit/bikini and prevent from transparency of wet swimsuit/bikini showing through the pubic hair. (Japanese ladies tend to be very hairy and dark haired down there)
They are also more hygenic. As most ladies don't wash the swimsuit/bikini after use and instead just put it back on the next day without washing. (Yes it goes in water anyway but not if you're just sunbathing it doesn't).
I think you can even purchase a thong version to be worn under skimpy bikini's. This is a Japan only thing. Like many other things they have over there.

I’ve never heard of wearing underwear with a swimsuit. Here in America we just wear the swimsuit by itself. All the swimsuits I've ever seen have a layer of material sewn into them just like how underwear do.

I think only Japanese people do it, but Americans tend to just wear the swimsuit. I'm also from Asian (chinese) descent, and they don't usually wear underwear with their swimsuits.

i believe it is only japanese who do this. cultures differ. Arabs wear clothes, Western countries are open to going topless.

The only time I've ever worn underwear under a swimsuit was when trying it on in the store. Most swim suits are lined so you don’t need to wear anything underneath.
