I am going out next week and the party organiser insists its st trinians…as I am 45 I dont want to go out in mini skirt n stockings etc but neither do i want to spoil the theme….any ideas?

I'd say because your in your 40s go for a nice pair or black boot-cut tailored trousers to go with the whole “school” theme as bootleg is tight on the hips and bottom and flare out. I'd say on your feet perhaps cherry red stilettos to make it a little more sexy and a white shirt, unbuttoned reasonably, you dont want to look too much like mutton dressed as lamb. Also i think cherry red lipstick would compliment the heels. I'd go for big, out there accessories to make you stand out more and not look too under-dressed, after all it is a celebration.
