A lot of my family have had a bad stomach bug recently ie. vomiting and diarhhoea (or however you spell it!)

Anyway, today my stomach feels quite upset and i cant really consider food. I dread im getting the bug too.

I have an important day tomorrow so really cant afford to be sick. Does anyone know of any tips or medication, or perhaps food etc. that will stop me a) getting the bug in the first place, and b) stop me throwng up?!

All suggestions welcome, thanks!

Answer:
drink gingerale, eat soda crackers and mild (not salty) soups. rest and take it simple, this might help but if the bug is already in you, you probably can't stop it now..

throwing up could release some of the germs/bugs that cause you to be sick so, if you throw up, pray for the best, it could be gone before the next day.

Answer:
dont eat anything!

- especially nothing in your house.

get you and your family to clear out all the food you’ve, anything old, crap, off, anything/ everything…

- make sure the home, food, food storage areas are really hygienic.

- dont share cultery in your home, or anywhere, god knows what you might catch.

finally buy medicines to get well and all those who are sick should see the physician.

did you all catch something from holiday? where the hell did you eat, ow this is so gross.

you know to travel to some places you need to be vaccinated in advance.

Answer:
Take some vitamin C to boost your immune system yo try and prevent you from getting ill.

Have loads of fresh fruit and veg and loads of water to get rid of all waste.

Warm water for an upset stomach, Put on extra layers if cold, try to stay away from anyone ill and be careful of what you eat.

Make sure its cooked properly.

Answer:
peptobismal, or some over the counter drug.

if that don't work i think the doctor can prescribe something for your stomach, my friends mother takes them, and they took some from her and used them so they didn't get hangovers, i'm not sure what there called.

Answer:
There's an otc med called Emetrol. It's in a liquid form and is for nausea. It works pretty well. Also, mint tea is suppose to help nausea and vomiting. Zinc lozenges are good too.

SLEEP! GET AS MUCH SLEEP AS POSSIBLE! it helps a lot if you get a goodnights rest right before something huge comes up and you dont want to be/get sick.
