Cracking Your Back?

Author: admin

Is Cracking your back good for you? Can it harm you?

Each night before I go asleep, I rotate my spine and effectivly, “crack” my back. It feels great and my back tension seems relased. However, I’m afraid this is doing more damge than good. I try my best not to do it-but it's gettin more of a habit now. Help!

Answer:
I think this is probably not very good for you. If you want your back 'cracked', ask a chiropractor - they’ll do it safely and make you feel much superior. Doing it yourself could damage the little joints between the vertebrae and cause arthritis in the long run. You only get one back for the whole of your life. If you're lucky enough to have a good one, look after it.

I 'crack' my back each day…like you stated, more out of habit, than anything…

My hubby 'cracks' his back as well, but he gets a sore back regular, he has a very slight curvature on his spine, If his back does not crack, hes in pain quite a bit…

Lol, as my mum used to say 'its bad for you'… I think it might be… It is a very HARD habit to break (if done just out of habit than when in pain)

I’ve tried to halt cracking my back, and have got it to just once a day…

Though i do have another 'crackin' habit ….lol… i do wonder if there are several others who do?…. I crack my neck…. :) (not very nice to do when others are about, they so don't like the sound… :)

But yes… this is one i HAVE to give up..I'm sure its not good at all.

Well, i hope you do find out if it is bad or not to 'crack' ones back, i would love to know… :)

Take care. GoRa NeatEye x

Answer:
I do the exact same thing occassionally, twist and “crack”. If i was to guess i would state don't do it too often, but i don't really know!!

Answer:
It seems quite a few people do the same thing..My wife does and so do I…

I concur with the lady above me though…It might feel good but not too often just in case you get hurt..
