I don't sleep well, at all. Never have, I dream too much and never feel rested the next day and with a toddler that's hard. I do not drink coffee at night, I drink water, eat right. Apparently the ideal and most optimal amount of sleep is 7.5 hours, but I go to bed at 10.30 and fall asleep about 11 on a good night, then I'm up at 645-7 with my Son. What do I need to do to get my sleep sorted? I sometimes wake in the night and find it hard to nod off.. I have to nap sometimes I get so tired in the day..I’m starting meditation next week to try to calm my nightmares… Thanks
(Soo sleepy) ….
Answer:
I have nightmares, too. And they come in series, all in one night!
I've observed that if I'm so sleepy & so lazy to get up, the nightmares repeat. I've solved this problem when one night, I had to get up after a nightmare & couldn't breathe, went to the kitchen and drank one whole glass of water, stretched my arms and legs for a while, and went back to sleep. The nightmares didn't repeat that night.
I discovered and realized, that I should have one physical activity like getting up, walking to the kitchen, drinking water, and stretching my arms and legs. This is a sort of physical stimulation. I still do this whenever I’ve nightmares.
I wake up the following morning, feeling fresh! And I have the feeling that I slept for 10 hours, although I slept for only about 6 hours.
Try it. It might work for you too.
Furthermore, every night, I drink 1 bottle or 2 bottles of ice cold beer and I feel very sleepy after that, and have a continuous sleep all night. Beer is classified as a beverage which is healthy for the body.
I don't know if beer is advisable for you.
