If I hear the tiniest noise,I cant sleep. If I get woken up by something, i cant get back to sleep no matter what time it is or how long ive been asleep. this morning i was woken by my baby nephew at 6am and tried to get back to sleep for 4 hours but couldnt, and i hadnt gone to bed until 2am because i dont get exhausted until really late. but if im not woken i tend to sleep in late in the morning, i just cant sleep at night. why is this and what can i do?
ps when i was little i was bullied and for some reason this gave me really bad insomnia, i could never sleep more than a few hours each night. i was able to sleep normally until about a year ago when this started up, im nearly 17 and im happy and not stressed atm.

have you tried using ear plugs? this might help you sleep superior
also, try sticking to a routine. I work nights 3 days a week and on my days off, I don't always go to bed at the same time but I have the same “to bed” routine. i'll take a nice hot bath then lie in bed w/my laptop for a tiny while before going to bed.
my room is kept very dark and very quiet. this helps me sleep quite well. my bf also works nights and he wears the earplugs.
if that doesn't help then maybe talk to your family physician about getting a sleep medication to help you get the rest you need.
-avoid drinking any caffeine at least 5 hours before going to bed
-don't go to bed too hungry or too full. eat a light snack if you’re hungry.
-don't do anything strenous or energy charged at least an hour before bed (this will raise your blood pressure and cause you to be more alert). things like playing video games, watching an action movie, or exercising would be examples of too much strenous activity before bed.
don't use your bed for anything other than sleeping (don't do homework on it, etc). your brain will only associate your bed w/sleep if you only use it to sleep in which will help you rest easier
hope this helps!!
