anyone got any advice? its easter weekend so my doctors is shut for another 3 days is it important enough to go to the hospital?
Answer:
That 'lump' under your armpit is a swollen lymph node. There are about 600 lymph nodes in your body. The lymphatic system is part of the immune system. I advise that you get an appointment to see a different physician. Lymph nodes are crucial to the immune system and if it is visibly swollen you must get it checked. What other symptoms have you had? Do you’ve other 'lumps'? Such as around your ears and jaw? in the tonsils ans adenoids? in the front and back of your neck?
Is the 'lump' painful when touched? Have you had fever, persisting cough and/or shortness of breath, sweating profusely during the night, weight loss, itching?
These are important questions. Answer them in additional details and I can help you further ![]()
