Okay here's the story. Wednesday evening of last week, I fell from my last step (wearing these stupid high shoes) and twisted my ankle, and bruised the right side of my right foot badly as it hit the floor.
I stayed from school Thursday, Friday, tried to come to school monday, still unable to walk properly. After the first day, the swelling had slowed down, but the bruising was still very prominent.
Today, it is Wednesday, a week since I first fell, and still I can see the massive area of blueness from the bruise lower right side of my foot, and I’m still unable to walk properly. There’s no swelling at all on my ankle, just bruising on the lower side of my foot. I thought it would take about a week, but judging by it's condition at the moment, I’ve completely no clue. And i've missed some days of school which is crucial now.
How long does it usually take for a bruised foot to heal? Judging from my condition, do you’ve any predictions?
What should I do? Are there any good healing methods I could use?
Your expert advice would be hugely appreciated. Thank you.
Answer:
You really should go to a doctor. No one here’s physically there to check you out which at this point you probably should go see a doc. Nothing serious, just a family physician will do but you should go see one as soon as possible. You probably are fine and will heal if you could take the stresses off of it but you could have torn ligaments and muscles. Again, i don't know and no one here can really help you for sure. Go see a family physician.
Answer:
An x-ray would go a long way toward relieving your fears.
The fact that you don't have any swelling does NOT mean you don't have a fracture of some kind.
Black and blue marks (or ecchymosis) one week after the injury is a bit long. Normally the inflammation response lasts only 2-3 days.
Answer:
A GP may recommend you go to an A&E department so I would suggest bypassing the family doctor and get yourself to a hospital so they have the ability to x-ray and see what's going on.
