Had an appointment with GP 3 weeks ago, and he stated he was going to make an appointment for me to see a specialist, I know it's early days!! But how long on average are you likely to get a letter confirming an appointment?
Thanks : )
Answer:
Chase up your physician first of all. Find out from his staff the name of the specialist you’re to see and then phone hospital and find out the name of his secretary. Phone the secretary, explain your worry and if you are nice to her she'll probably be very helpful. She's the one making his appointments so go to source. Don't ask for the specialist because he won't know what appointments he's got and you won't get to talk to him anyway. His secretary will protect him.
Answer:
If you ring appointments at the hospital they’ll be able to give you some idea.
At least if you’ve some idea how long you could have to wait it might help with worrying through not knowing anything.
One consolation marked important and called swiftly, then it's serious!
Answer:
Not to worry, it will take about 52 weeks to send a letter of admission but then the bed will not be available, don't blame the hospital nurses or docs, life now days revolves around money, its crazy.
Answer:
You should get a letter from the Hospital asking you to ring a certain number to make an appointment.
Give it one more week; if you haven't heard then go to your GP again.
Hope things get superior soon hun. x
Answer:
You should get an appointment within 6 months of the referral.
Well according to the NHS anyway!!!
Answer:
I tend to call after one week to make sure they haven't forgotten to make stated appointment.
Answer:
It depends what the referral is for, how important and where abouts you’re.
Answer:
Forever!! just keep ringing and pestering them until you receive it xx
