Answer:
Having had about a dozen general anaesthetics and another one due next week, I feel qualified to answer this one! The anaesthetist will probably put a 'line' into the back of your hand (this is what the anaesthetic will be fed through). You might get what they call a 'pre med' which will make you feel very lightheaded (it's actually quite nice) then they'll give you the anaesthetic and by the time you've counted to ten you'll be asleep. I love being put to sleep this way (bizarre I know but it's a lovely floaty feeling). Unfortunately the waking up is never too good and I'm always sick afterwards. But that's just me - hopefully you'll have a superior experience.

Answer:
ok, while u are in ur room before surgery a physician will come in and put an IV in your hand or arm. ur surgery physician will come in and speak to you and the family to calm you and prepare you for surgery. after in your surgery room they start to prep for whatever they are about to do. the doctor will speak to you the whole time and try to get ur mind off any worries u might have. then another doctor will begin the anesthesia in ur IV. And before you know it you feel yourself drifting off to sleep. When you u wake up you’ll feel like you were only sleep for a minute:)

Answer:
Well when i got put to sleep they hooked me up to an IV and asked me to count to 10 so i did before i knew it i was asleep… You cant feel anything really but when you wake up you feel a bit weird but then you get over it

Hope i helped xxx

p.s if you’re having it done it dosnt injured 1 bit

Answer:
I was given a small painless injection then told to count up to ten, I got to 3 then woke up 2 hours later in a different room.

they may give you gas which is just the same.

its very simple and you feel very peaceful afterwards, normally caused by the morphine pumping through your body.

Answer:
They hook you up to an IV and usually ask you to count to 10. You go right out. For me, I woke up after the surgery and it's like they JUST stated, “count to 10″. It was all done. Groggy afterwards.

Answer:
They just give you an IV then within seconds your out for the count and don't remember anything after that and i just felt fatigued after I didn't want to wake up lol. But it's not bad you’ll be fine.

Answer:
its like everyone else says except for one thing, when you wake up you’ll more than likely feel very sick to your stomach. I have been put under before so I know this for a fact

Answer:
kinda just doze off you feel really sleepy then poof your in lala land hope this helps and the liquid feels kinda weird going into your body but dont stress or it can cause how can i say this FREAKING OUT

Answer:
My instructor has been through this before,
she stated that she breathed this type of sleeping gas and within' 3 seconds she just dozed away.

Answer:
All they do is give u a tiny injection and they go 1,2,3 and you fall asleep. Simple as =]
