does anyone have a tried and tested method of at least clearing it for an hour or so ,so i can drift off to sleep?

Answer:
Firstly and really importantly… come off the computer, the screen alone can turn a headache into a severe migraine.
Go into a dark, quiet room (obviously it's night) so that's easy, take a paracetamol, (but only the prescribed dosage) and lie down with a 'cool' compress on your head, relax, and don't tense up, raise your head slightly by adding a soft pillow, and try to 'drift off'… have a drink of water by the bed to keep you hydrated, and you should be fine in a few hours and definitely tomorrow.
Clubs, do have loud music and raised 'base' levels, but like others in time, you'll probably adapt, if not take some 'ear plugs' with you (the discrete ones) and just 'pop' these in if you're too near the 'speakers'…it'll cut out some of the vibrations.

ooh and try popping ya ears if ya knows how to
Answer:
I'm not surprised … you can actually damage your hearing with the volume of the music in some of these clubs.
As it's your first time clubbing your poor ear drums probably don't know what's hit 'em! I think you're just gonna have to give them time to recover..!
Answer:
sounds like you now have tinnitus use white noise like radio on in background on quietly it seems to block out the ringing you can also have accupuncture but basically you are causing permanent damage to your ears
