i have such bad shoulder pain, and i have had it since tuesday. it all started with an ache and i just thought that it was from carrying my heavy college bag around with me all day but later that afternoon the ache turned into pain, and since then the pain has been getting worse and it seems to be spreading. i have been taken painkillers; anyways my question (s) is/are:
do you think it could be my bag that has caused this or is just a coincidence?
what should? do you think i should see a physician or would it just be a waste his time?
is there anything that i can do to reduce the pain?
thanks any help is greatly appreciated,

Answer:
Along with the painkillers, you could try applying hot and cold packs (alternating). If the pain is getting worse I think I would go to the physician because you could have really hurt yourself. And have you thought of getting a backpack with wheels on it? My daughter had the same problem and it helped a lot. Good luck!

This sounds like what happened to me my doctor stated sit straight up and slowly turn you head to the left until it starts to injured, hold it there for a few seconds and try to go a bit further and hold it again, do the other side of your neck exactly the same way, don't do it just once a day do it as often as you can and it will stop the pain, should only take a day or two, hope this helps you, goodluck!
Answer:
Yes i would bet It's the bag. i was just reading the other day, how school kids are developing serious back and shoulder trouble from lugging their stuff around all day. Lighten your load! And try to switch arms often. you'd be superior off with a light backpack. this way the weight is distributed evenly. AND…A hot bath {whirlpool is even better} works wonders.

If your in pain and you don't know whats wrong then i think you should at least phone NHS direct. Possibly you’ve just strained a muscle.

maybe that could be the cause. you could have had cramps, and you can put on bengay or any minty pain reliever cream. it can help soothe the pain! also, you can probably drink pain reliever! =)
