any tips on how to try and ease the pain on your fingers caused by the strings when you first start to play? thanks!
Answer:
Hey, I have been playing for 12 years now… and I remember those days. Just massage them. Unfortunatly, you need to play until you form a calous on your fingers. There’s a reason why people state play until you bleed, then play some more. Are you playing electric or acoustic? If you have an acoustic get some light strings… the sound will be a bit different but they’ll be easier to push down when learning. If you’re playing on an electric pick up some super slinkys. Just remember that the super slinky strings will make it very easy to get off pitch because they slide around. This might help a tiny, however just keep up with the playing and eventually you’ll be fine. Good luck and Rock On!

Ok, I know exactly what you're talking about, I had this when I began on bass, and again when I started guitar (seriously the strings are like cheesewires!)
The best thing to do, is play for a tiny while each day, if your fingers become too painful, then stop. (I've gone a tiny too far at times, and all this does it makes it longer until you're able to play again.) The next day, you will be able to play again, and eventually your fingers build up layers of skin this way, and you no longer feel anything. If you get out of practice, you’ll have to build up the skin again though.
Answer:
you get used to it =P
no you just get it because your fingers aren't used to it.
Answer:

Answer:
