Is it possible to get tonsillitis after a tonsillectomy?

I know it sounds like a stupid question but i had my tonsils out at the end of July and now im pretty sure i have tonsillitis again basically i have a cold a cough and a headache and my throat is really sore and has tiny white spots on the tonsil area, the other symptons always came with tonsillitis( i used to get it every two weeks) i can't get an appointment with my doctor till october the 6th so is it possible?Because i will be really gutted if this operation was for nothing and im just going to get ill every two weeks again

Yes, if they grow back but, generally the lasers they use this day ensure that they wont grow back.

I had my tonsils out long ago but, have had pharyngitis twice. Could be the same with you. Essentially it's Tonsillitis without the tonsils (inflammation of the pharynx).
