I was just wondering if anyone had had the same surgary and wat the recovy is like??

Also i dont know if i can make it worst, cus at the moment im just walking though the pain.

thanz for any help …

Answer:
If it is torn all the way there is no making it worse now. I tore my ACL all of the way but my MCL was only partially torn. They’d to use one of my hamstrings to put through my knee to use as an ACL but because my MCL was still somewhat connected, it healed itself. My biggest problem was that I was on crutches for 3 weeks before my surgery so I lost a lot of strength. I had to rehab it for a few months. Its been about 2 years and I'm absolutely fine! Good Luck.

I tore my ACL, I presume it is similar.

I had a piece of tendon/ligament take from my lower leg, and then it was screwed in place to replace the old acl.

Recovery was 12 months of physio, twice a week,

Could walk around though with a leg brace on for the first month or so.

To be honest, it has never been right since, but I had a crap doctor to start with. The time from injury to repair is crucial, and mine to 4 years.

For the first 4 years, he kept telling me to play more sport, and run, and basically my leg collapsed each week or so. The ACL stops your upper leg from sliding off from your lower leg.

It was only when I saw a locum, that the real cause was found.

Good luck.

Answer:
The camera surgery is nothing. You are up and moving around in a few weeks. The MCL surgery takes a while to rehab. Like the first person said you have screws that are put in and they immobilize your leg. It's a long rehab process. It took me 4 months to get back to sports after ACL surgery. It is a long recuperation. Good luck with that.
