my left eye lid is twitching all day why is this
Answer:
This used to happen to me all the time, then I read that it could be lack of magnesium. Magnesium is a natural muscle relaxant, in fact there's a kind of saying in medical circles “if it twitches, give it magnesium”. It's also good for constipation, and it's very common to be deficient in this mineral. Ideal way to rest muscles and absorb magnesium is with an epsom salts bath, which is actually magnesium.
Answer:
It could be blepharospasm
Blepharospasm usually begins gradually with excessive blinking and/or eye irritation. In the early stages it might only occur with specific precipitating stressors, such as bright lights, fatigue, and emotional tension. As the condition progresses, it occurs frequently during the day. The spasms disappear in sleep, and some people find that after a good night's sleep, the spasms don't appear for several hours after waking. Concentrating on a specific task might reduce the frequency of the spasms. As the condition progresses, the spasms may intensify so that when they occur, the patient is functionally blind; and the eyelids might remain forcefully shut for several hours at a time.
Answer:
It is a nerve in the eye and annoying and almost all of us get it at some time. often from tiredness, no reasonable cause or draft. It is of no consequence
I always make sure they are clean by splashing water on the eyes and drying with a clean towel not rubbing and then close them for a few minutes and also open them looking in ot the hands to shut out the light and rest the eye balls.
Hope this helps. G
