I had a Ureteroscopy for the removal of a Kidney Stone on Monday, so over 48 hours ago. I'm still experiencing quite a lot of blood in my urine and have passed a few tiny clots, (when I say little I mean smaller than a pea lol) and I’ve quite bad pain on and off on the right side of my back in my kind of kidney area. Is this normal at this stage after the operation?
Thank you ![]()
Answer:
It is normal to have a burning pain when you wee and to have blood in your urine after a ureteroscopy, but this should clear up in 24 - 36 hours, yours has already exceeded this.
Phone your physician, and no, you’ll not be fussing over nothing or wasting anybody's time.
Meanwhile drink plenty of water, take your usual analgesic for the pain.
Answer:
I would go to my physician not asking questions on this site.
