what is more painful open knee surgery or arthroscopy???

Open knee surgery is far more painful than an arhroscopy - I have had both.
One word of advice though, do not try to move about on the knee so much after the op - I did and ended up in A&E!!!
Stick to the doctors advice and you’ll be fine

well technically and arthroscopey is not surgery. it key hole investigative work to diagnose the problem superior. do i would def say “open knee surgery” as u put it. but depending whether is for a ACL repair of just a small cartilage tear.
