Answer:
Buy some ear drops from the drug store.
Answer:
You definitely should go see a physician. It's not good to fly with an ear infection because of the pressure change. That would really hurt.
Your physician will give you an antibiotic and that’ll usually ease the pain up the first day, at least it always did when I had them a lot when I was younger. If not, it should be eased up before your flight.
If you can't get to a doctor before your flight, then trying a saline solution won't injured anything and might ease some of the pain, but also, I've found that regular inflammatory pain medicine like ibuprofin or advil helps to ease the pain too.
Hope this helps.
Answer:
Saline won’t have an effect on an outer ear infection—in fact, it could make your ear more blocked.
The only sure way to beat the infection is to get some prescription antibiotic drops from your physician. Let the physician look in your ears to make a diagnosis. Often, an outer ear infection Otitis External will become complicated and turn into an Inner Ear Infection–Otitis Media.
Years ago I developed an outer ear infection and tried all sorts of home remedies–the pain got so bad that I wound up in the ER. The infection had closed up my external ear canal and the infection had spread to my middle ear. I needed topical antibiotic to put in my ear, and antibiotics by mouth. With this treatment, it took nearly a month to heal.
Don't mess with your ears, untreated infections can lead to hearing loss.
Answer:
Otitis externa is a bacterial infection which is best cured quickly with the anti-biotic Gentamicin, it is only available with a doctor's prescription.
It is unlikely to get into the middle year unless you’ve a perforated ear-drum which your physician can easily check for you, but see him/her before you fly.
Answer:
You need to see a Physician & get some anti biotic drops prescribed they usually sooth any inflamation & reduce pain, its not something a chemist can sell, in an emegency you could ask the chemist to sell you 'Gentamicin' drops for an eye infection (which they are allowed to) & these will work on your ears too.
Answer:
Rinsing with salt water would definitely help - try to do it 4 times a day with water as warm as you can sensibly bear and leave it for as long as you can too.
Answer:
That might help but if you can make it to rite aid or something they actually sell stuff specifically for swimmers ear that really helps… I've had swimmers ear many many times
Answer:
OMG you need to see youre Doc before you fly.
I’ve had a burst eardrum before and the pain is worse than childbirth!
