Are facial primers good?

Author: admin

Does it make a difference if you use one before putting on your make up?

And can you recommend any good ones?

thankyou

Answer:
I don't they make a big difference. They just add another unnecessary layer of products onto your skin and make you more likely to break out. I find that the less products I put on my face (skincare and makeup), the clearer my skin is.

I have got a MAC primer that i put on before foundation if i am going out. To be honest apart from making my skin smooth it doesn't really do much. I suppose it does reduce redness on my face slightly but at like £18 its not really worth it.

I also have an Urban Decay eyeshadow primer i think this is excellent makes eye shadow stay on much longer. I haven't used it with creams but its fab for powder so wud defo recommend this 1. I know u can get it from Boots if you are interested.

Hope This Helps!

I use the Smashbox oil free primer. It is very light, and when you put it on, it doesnt feel like anything. Spehora will always reccomend this one. They will probably give you the regualr one first (its clear) the oil free is white. But I personaly feel more comfortable using the oil free one.

My sis is the manager of Sephora and tell me all the time that using the clear one is fine but Im stubborn so i stick with the white one lol.

Answer:
I use Clinique primer and its very good for making my foundation and eye-shadow stay put on a night out and just in general , although i dont wear it everyday.

Its quite expensive but its worth it in my opinion.

Its also a good moisturiser for my skin aswell.

Hope this helps

Answer:
I think they work pretty well. It does make foundation go on more evenly. It also seems to set my make up better. I like the bare minerals, Laura Gellar is pretty good too.

Answer:
I have tried the mac prep and prime but to be honest i dont think it was very effective. It didnt really seem to tone down any blotchiness. My skin felt a little smoother, but i would invest in a decent moisturiser.
