Ok so i've been hearing a lot about the bare minerals make-up. and i've been thinking of buying the kit but i don't want to spend my money and realise what i purchased it rubbish.

I spend far too much money on make up and i want to find something i'm very pleased with.

My skin is generally good, but because i'm pale you can see under eye bags more :( or pimples and redness.

I wanted a very natural looking foundation that can cover little flaws without looking caked on.

Anyone who has used or uses bare minerals could you please tell me if you think it'll work for me and if it is actually any good?

Thanks!

I

Answer:
YES…i use i.d. bare escentuals make up and being someone with sensitive skin, its never given me any bother! It goes on great, and you don't feel like ur wearing a mask. It's also so pure u can even sleep in it! Its a bit dear buying everything to start off with, but it lasts for ages!

Could try with a starter kit like, http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stor…

once u find out what colour suits your skin tone best (can be done at a beauty therapists who stocks the range).

I use it each day, the pots of makeup last for months…its great!

*MY experience with BM

Pros- Light on skin, looks great over foundation. makes my pores unoticeable, water proof/resistant, made my glow. Covers dark circle well. Improved the redness in my skin.

Cons- Hardly provides the coverage I need, You can hardly conceal anything without looking shiny because of the reflective mica, can't travel with it (packaging sucks) messy, no oil control.

3/5

All I have the ability to say it try it: get the starter kit for 60 bucks at Sephora and you can always return it if you don't like it.

If you've never used mineral based makeup before I recommend trying l'oreal bare naturale make up which can be found at Walmart . It's light and very natural and way less costly than bare minerals, plus you get to find out if you even like mineral based makeup.

I've used both and don't see much if a difference.

Bare minerals is more dense though, while l'oreal is very light and translucent.

If you want to try a mineral foundation each day minerals has free samples so that you can try it before you buy it. All you have to do is pay a few dollars for shipping. The samples are very generous & you can get 3 different foundations to try so you can find the right shade for your skin tone.

Go to the Bare Mineral shop and have them put it on you.. Wear it for the day and then decide if you like it or not.. That's why I did.. first thing in the morning I went had it done. I wore it all day I loved it, next day i went back and purchased the whole kit.. I’ve been wearing it for about a year and half.!!!!

Answer:
Yes. Mineral based makeup is better for the skin and doesn't irritate it as much as regular makeup. If you’re worried about that kind of stuff, I would suggest it.

Answer:
I’ve tried numerous foundations over the years and have used Bare Minerals for about 6 years now. On and off I've tried liquid foundations again as well as other brands of mineral foundation. Hands down, Bare Minerals is the ideal. I've tried L'Oreal and Revlon and was really not impressed. I know you can buy the Bare Mineral starter kits at Target now, or if you live near a Sephora you can try it out there.

Bare Minerals does offer good coverage, you just have to practice with it to get. I’ll say that I don't like their concealer, Well Rested or Bisque. I’ve very pale skin and while their fair foundation is light enough for me, the concealers aren't. I use the white concealer stick from Max Factor when I need to brighten up my eye area.

Their eyeshadows are totally astonishing though!
