lacome is great- give a really good effect- the clis one with a double end is fab. Though not clump free it is definalty the best one I have used ever!
I have tried and tested most of the mascaras around and the one with the lease clumps in it is the no.7 360 mascara. Others are good but this has the least amount of clumps in my experience.

i've tried many many different mascaras. and my favorite is great lash. its the one with the green top and the pink bottle. it has a really tiny brush so u can get all the little eye lashes.
i get very black because it looks really dramatic.
and no matter what type of mascara you have, u should never pump ur mascara cuz that allows air to come in and thats what makes it clumpy. so when u take the wand out of the bottle, just twist it out.

i used to have problems with clumping too, my lashes are prone to it.
I don't reccomend Max Factor, i've tried their brand and it was awful
Maybelline define-a-lash is brill, two sweeps upward and once on the lower lashes
make sure you position the wand right at first and it helps to brush your lashes with a lash comb before applying mascara.
and to prevent your mascara drying out when topping up the wand with mascara when you dip it back in the tube twist it instead of pumping the wand in and out as this mixes bubbles of air in the mascara and makes it prone to clumping
