my daughter wears a lot of make up i have tried to tell her she looks like a clown gone wrong but she doesnt belive me does anyone no any good web sites that she can follow make up tips thanks
Answer:
Bare Minerals sell very natural make up and most stores like Ulta and Sephora will show you what to use and how to wear it. Sometimes girls don't want to hear it from their moms and hearing it from someone else is easier.
Answer:
She probably is not listening to you as she is seeing it as criticism especially if you actually told her that she looks like a clown!
What about making an appointment for her with a beautician that will do her a make-up lesson? That would be a treat for her and a way of teaching her how to apply it and what colours to go for etc?
Answer:
You're wasting your time. My 15yr old sister's exactly the same.
She goes to school bright orange from all the fake tan she uses (I've told my mum to chuck it away but she ignores me and continues complaining about how orange she looks), with blusher that's literally been tipped out onto her cheeks. Your ideal bet is to go out and buy her a foundation that matches (that's if she needs it of course. If she's anything like my sister she'll be wearing foundation 2 shades darker than she needs). Or simply when she's out, take away the stuff she's piling on her face. Keep it locked up somewhere and if she desperately needs it she'll have to come to you and ask for it.
Answer:
That's kinda rude of you to tell her that.
Get rid of all her makeup, then take her shopping for really nice makeup, but in more natural colours. Also, you could take her to get her makeup done somewhere, and she can see how good she looks without the clown-ish makeup she’s currently using.

you don't need to tell her any websites because it comes across insulting, my mum said one phrase to me and it worked as i saw the girls i grew up around not listen to that advice.
' less is more.'
