I watched 'style her famous' yesterday (I know, i know, but there was nothing else on) and some chick was going for the "katie Holmes look" (basically just natural) and the make-up artist said that to cover slight imperfetions and blemishes, but still doesn't make it look like you're wearing foundation would be to wear a tinted moisturizer.

I have fair skin, and i'm not really looking to look tan or anything.. i just want my skin to look a bit.. you know.. nice? So what's a good tinted moisturizer that will be a good alternative to foundation?

ALSO…. do you wear powder with it or not ? just curious.

THANKS!!! x x x

Answer:
When I can't be bothered with the whole make-up thing I use Nivea young tinted moisturizer, it's pretty great realy!

Personally I don't wear powder with it but I know people who do, It depends if you want a more matte finish or not

Answer:
I am natural but a bit of eye make up, i sometimes mix a dolop of moistuiser with a dollop of tinted moisturiser (dove tinted or something like that) just for a bit of added colour

Answer:
I would use nivea be young tinted moisturiser…its not like a foundation…more like a moisturiser with a slight tint so it doesn't look cakey on your skin. I wouldn't use powder all over the face as it does look ageing..if you were to use to powder i would use it on the oily areas to reduce shine.

Answer:
The Nivea one is great and I've tried all the expensive ones too, (Clarins, Clinique, Estee Lauder). Get one that is just a fraction darker than your skin tone.

I never wear powder with it.

Answer:
Tinted moisturiser is just that; moisturiser with a hint of colour. Imagine moisturiser and a dab of foundation mixed up. Don't get it confused with the hint of tan moisturisers because they are a moisturiser with a fake tan in them.

You use a tinted moisturiser in exactly the same way as a normal moisturiser. It has less colour than foundation so shouldn't leave any tide marks and doesn't need matching exactly to the skin although you'll probably see fair, medium and dark or something like that as colours so pick the most applicable.

You could wear it with powder but it doesn't sound like you'd like to and that's fine. You can put concealer over the top if you need to (make sure it's sunk in first) though.

You can also get tinted moisturisers with some sparkle or shimmer in them which might look nice in the summer if you don't have oily skin.

well to answer your question:

try mac, they have ppl thre to help you find the perfect shade =)

and they have great tinted moisturizer

yes you need powder to set it in place =)

b/c tinted moisturizer is considered foundation =)

suggestion:

i dont wear a lot of makeup in fact no one can tell, i put light layer of mac studio fix =) then blush and light eyeshadow =) make sure you blend everything afterwards

b/c a lot of ppl look obvious "oh my gosh that person has tosn of makeup on" usually b/c they didn't blend it enough ya know

and with some practice you'd look natural and totally smooth skin even with a little makeup on =)

Answer:
Try almost make up by clinique, its around £17.It will give you a slight coverage and you wont have to use a pressed or loose powder on top.you could always use a bronzer on top for an extra healthy glow.
