I’m 15, and people have started to make fun of the bit of hair on my upper lip. My relationship with my dad is difficult, as we’ve never really talked about 'manly' things, so how do I go about asking him, without it being awkward?
Should I just use his electric razor, or would he notice on me, that i've used it?
No silly answers please. Serious ones only - thanks

Joe,
On saturday or sunday morning when he is getting ready to shave or start his morning routine, just look straight at him and state “Dad, can you show me how to shave?”.
It is that easy. If he is any decent kind of Father, he'll be proud that you asked and more than happy to instruct. This would be the perfect time to speak about all sorts of thing, covered in shave cream with just the two of you in the room. He is probably just as nervous and scared as you are!

Answer:
If you dont already have a good relationship with him then you need to make one. Just ask him. I know it may feel a bit akward and stuff at first, but it lets him know that you can talk to him about anything, and that your making an effort to have a dad/son relationship with him. Dont absolutely avoid him on this, just ask.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
Answer:
Its going to be akward just about anyway you do it. My suggestion is you appeal to his ego, say something like,” Father I need to learn how to shave and because you do a good job I was wondering if you would help me”. Now if he has a full beard well……..your gonna have to do somehting else, but try it that way, he’ll feel inclined to show you then.
Answer:
Don't use electric razors. They suck. Just go to the store and buy razors yourself. Why does this involve your father? You go buy some disposable razors, use some shaving cream on your upper lip and shave it off.
You don't need to speak to your dad about it.

Answer:
Shaving isn’t the most difficult concept in the world. I don't have the ideal relationship with my dad, so figured it out myself/from TV via trial and error, stealing his razor secretly heh. If you don't want to ask him, YouTube/Google it.
Answer:
I would state just ask him as i was like this with my father too , also had to ask him about the birds and the bee's was terrified at the time but everything turned out fine.

Answer:
Just buy a cheap razor, bic's are really good and cheap, ive been shaving for about 13 years now and ive never once used shaving foam once, just a bit of water, then shave, easy as, perfect each time have never cut myself.
Answer:
One part of me says if you are old enough to shave you are man enough to just ask straight out.
Here are my weasel ways to do it.
1) Ask your mother to ask him.
2) Text him and ask him.
3) Leave a note asking taped to his water closet mirror.
Answer:
Whatever you do, don't use his razor - he'll never forgive you for it! If you can't approach your dad directly, why not ask your mother to mention it to him?
Answer:
Ask him, his not going to kill you is he, just say dad……look at these hairs on my lip. please show me how to get rid of them.
