my beard is exceptionally coarse. if i shave every day i get a bad shaving rash, but if i leave it for a couple of days, the stubble just blocks the razor and blunts it, so i only get one or two uses out of every set of blades. i have tried electric shavers, but they struggle to cut it as well. is it something im doing wrong? does anybody have any advice?

Answer:
You should shave in the bath, after washing your face, and after being in there for a little while. Then with a shaving brush, apply shaving cream and leave for 2 minutes. Then you should shave a strip of your face, then wash the razor, then shave another strip etc. Try that.

I know its high-priced but the Gillete shaver, i think its called Gillete stealth with the vibration option also helps a lot.

Answer:
The trick is that you should shave after you shower. Shower would soften the beards. Now when you come out of the shower, apply a generous amount of shaving gel and leave it to stand for several minutes, the longer, the better. The gel would further soften the beards. In the mean time, you can dry up your body and do other stuffs.

Answer:
Use shaving cream and let it sit for 5 minutes. Shaving cream isn’t to make your face smell nice but to loosen and weaken the hairs so they have the ability to be cut more easily.

If that doesn't help, use a beard trimmer first to trim everything down close to the skin and then try to shave it clean.

Answer:
Maybe you need to go with a straight razor? Like the one the barbers use. You can hone them yourself with a leather strop so it will last a long time and they give a really close shave. $50 will get you a top of the line razor that’ll outlast anything you purchase at the store.

Answer:
Put some fresh cream on your face then let the cat lick it off
